The Department of Biochemistry is dedicated to understanding the complexities of molecular and genetic mechanism of normal biochemical processes as well as biochemical basis of various human diseases through academics & research. It deals with the structures, functions and interactions of biological macromolecules, such as proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates and lipids, which provide the structure of cells and perform many of the functions associated with life.

The department is equipped with every possible modern amenity like Semi Auto analyzer, Thermocycler, Refrigerated centrifuge, Electrophoresis apparatus, Electronic balance, Chemiluminescence,Blood gas analyzer and Double beam spectrophotometer.

The main aim of our department is to train & teach the technical skills to carry out diagnostic work in clinical biochemistry lab with quality control in compliance with NABL guidelinesand apply the knowledge and skills in clinical problem solving and scientific research.

The goal of our department is to excel in research to provide new knowledge related to cellular processes & associated diseases and committed to promote research activities and to explore new opportunities.
